Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi Secretary ICI&SD, along with Senior Economic Advisor, Additional Secretary (Commerce) and Director SPU visited Punjab Tianjin University of Technology on July 21, 2022. The Vice-Chancellor PTUT, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir along with University Faculty cordially welcomed the dignitaries. Director Academic, briefed the honorable guests about the University. The Secretary envisioned the faculty of PTUT regarding the prospects of economic development and role of academia in bridging the gap between industry and academia. He further emphasized the Faculty to think and act out of the box to cope up with contemporary problems in order to achieve excellence in the field of technology. By focusing on University-Industrial Liaison, the Secretary, requested the VC, PTUT to develop linkages with Chamber of Commerce to discuss industrial problems, access their needs and explore possible collaborations for future.
The visit by the Secretary, ICISD is expected to give a strong fillip to the University and the Industry at large.
